California- West Coast / part 2

Next morning we came back to Point Lobos Park. We had very long walk as we were looking for elephant seals.

We walk, we walk, we walk until we decided to come back to our car and drove to the place where we possibly could see elephant seals. Sun and wind blow up our minds. We drove a bit further and we finally found elephant seals! They were down at the beach. Usually you could go to the beach and stay close to them. But that was the period when the young were born. It was better to not come closer. So for our safety they closed the beach and we could watch them from above. So beautiful view.

We walk along the coast and then we drove south to Los Angeles.

Quick stop for feeding squirrels...

I don't know how that happened but we stop at the place where we saw many people. From far we could see hundreds of e-seals laying on the beach! We immediately stopped! When we left the car the smell was so so terrible that I could barely breath. Fu! Awful! What a horrible smell! But I was so excited taking pictures that I quickly forgot about this :p Flat, fat, lazy creatures. they spend months under cold water and they left ocean only twice a year. It was very windy and quite cold but still to hot for them. To cool down they pour sand over themselves. amazing view!

And nobody knew what zebras were doing next to this beach! Weird small zebras...
